The Axis Atlas Credit Card is a travel card. You earn 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on travel spend — flights, hotels, and packages. You earn 2 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on everything else. You get 8 domestic and 4 international lounge visits a year. If you spend ₹1.5 lakh in a quarter, you earn 5,000 bonus miles. The annual fee is ₹5,000, waived on ₹2.5 lakh annual spends.

Why this matters

Atlas is the most cost-effective travel card from Axis. The 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on travel is the highest rate in the Indian market for direct bookings. EDGE Miles can be redeemed for flights, hotels, and seat upgrades on partner airlines. The 8 plus 4 lounge visits cover most moderate travellers.

How to Apply for the Axis Atlas Credit Card in 2026

How to apply Total time: 15 min · Estimated cost: ₹5,000 (joining fee) · You’ll need: PAN, Aadhaar, salary slips, bank statement, Form 16

  1. Check Atlas eligibility — You must be 21 to 60 years old. You must be an Indian resident. Your minimum monthly income must be ₹50,000 if you are salaried. A CIBIL score of 740 or more is preferred.

  2. Apply online on the Axis Bank website — Go to axisbank.com → Cards → Credit Cards → Atlas. Click Apply Now. If you already have an Axis account, the form is pre-filled for you.

  3. Complete the application — Give your personal details, employment information, monthly income, and existing credit relationships. Choose the Atlas variant and say how many supplementary cards you want.

  4. Complete Aadhaar eKYC — Authorise the Aadhaar OTP eKYC. Verification finishes within 60 seconds.

  5. Upload income documents — Upload the last 3 months salary slips, the last 6 months bank statement, and Form 16. Self-employed applicants must upload 2 years ITR with computation and business proof.

  6. Submit and track — Submit the form. Note your 12-digit application reference number. Track your status in the Axis mobile app. Approval takes 7 to 10 working days.

  7. Pay the joining fee and receive the card — Once approved, Axis charges ₹5,000 plus GST as the joining fee. The card arrives in 5 working days. Activate it by IVR, in the Axis mobile app, or at any Axis ATM.

  8. Use for travel to earn 5 EDGE Miles — Use the card on direct airline and hotel bookings to earn 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100. Track your miles in the Axis mobile app. Redeem through the EDGE Miles portal.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • The 5 EDGE Miles applies only to direct airline and hotel bookings. MakeMyTrip and Yatra earn only 2 EDGE Miles — not the full rate.
  • The 5,000 bonus miles on ₹1.5 lakh spend is a quarterly milestone. If you spend this much each quarter, you can earn it 4 times a year.

Pro tips

  • Use Atlas for direct airline and hotel bookings to maximise 5 EDGE Miles
  • Register on the EDGE Miles portal and link your card before your first redemption
  • Chase the quarterly milestone of 5,000 bonus miles by spending ₹1.5 lakh per quarter
  • Pair with Axis ACE for bill payments and online shopping
